Meet Gordo

Meet the Toaster Hi. I’m Gordo, and I’m built like a 4-slice toaster with one white hair on my tail. I’m a sweet, independent guy who believes life is best lived at a leisurely pace with plenty of snacks, naps, toys, and occasional investigations into what the humans are doing. Speaking of snacks… I am EXTREMELY food motivated. Treats are basically my love language. They are also an excellent negotiation tool when I’m feeling unsure about someone. Sometimes big men make me a little nervous, but give me some time, patience, and a few tasty bribes, and I’ll decide you’re probably okay. I just need to make that decision myself. I’m also very nosy. If something is happening, I need to know about it. What are you doing? Why are you doing it? What’s in that bag? Did you open the refrigerator? I have questions. I LOVE seeing my humans and I get ridiculously excited when they come home. And because I believe every human deserves to experience my extensive toy collection, I like to greet visitors with show-and-tell. I like other dogs, LOVE kids, and cats? Couldn’t care less. They exist. I exist. We can peacefully coexist in separate tax brackets. When I’m not conducting toy inventory or supervising household activities, I’m actually pretty lazy. I enjoy relaxing, lounging, and generally conserving my energy for the things that matter like meals and greeting people. I do have one very important emotional-support item: my crow toy. Yes, you read that correctly. I have a crow that I suck on to help me settle down and fall asleep. Is it weird? Absolutely. Is it adorable? Also absolutely. Everyone has their thing. One thing I’m still working on is car rides. They make me anxious, so I need someone patient who will help me feel safe and comfortable as I learn that getting into a vehicle does not mean the world is ending. Overall, I’m a sweet, funny, slightly chunky little guy with a BIG personality. I’m independent but love my people, food motivated but not obnoxious about it, dog-friendly, kid-loving, cat-unbothered, toy-obsessed, and professionally certified in being a lovable, furry cinder block. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh every day, keep tabs on everything happening in your house, and proudly present you with his toys like tiny trophies… I might be your guy. ❤️ Just bring treats. And my crow. Obviously.
