Meet Grey — Professional Cuddle Bug, Amateur Tough Guy Dear future foster family, s o much has changed since I met my last fosters. They gave me patience, confidence, and the chance to actually enjoy being a dog — hiking, exploring, sniffing things I shouldn't. They also got me into a training-and-medication program through Boulder Vet for my anxiety, and honestly? Life-changing. I take three meds twice a day, but don't worry — I've rebranded them as "cookies" and will remind you, loudly, when it's cookie time. Now it's time for them to travel and for me to move to a new foster (or FOREVER) home. A little about me: I'm a 1.5-year-old Blue Lacy/Pittie mix with a silver coat, soulful brown eyes, and the emotional range of a soap opera star. I'm shy and easily startled around strangers (especially men), so I need slow, thoughtful introductions and a patient family who knows trust is earned, not rushed. But once I warm up? Total goofball. Wiggle butt. Cuddle monster. Tail-wagging machine. I'm an athlete at heart — hiking, fetch, tug-of-war, zoomies — but I'm just as happy collapsing into your lap the second the adventure's over. I'm smart too: sit, down, place, out/drop it, heel, waiting politely at doors — basically a resume. I walk nicely on leash and I'm working hard on my confidence around crowds and strangers, one treat and one pep talk at a time. I can be selective with other dogs and may get growly, so a dog-free home or a calm, compatible dog is best — though I'm currently dog-sitting a foster bestie and thriving, so consider me "good with some dogs," VIP-list style. No young kids please (sudden movements spook me), and cats are still a mystery I haven't solved yet. A fenced yard would be ideal. I come with lifetime training and support from the American Canine Academy, so my next family never has to figure this out alone. He needs slow introductions and a patient family who understands that trust takes time. Once he feels comfortable, though? He becomes the wiggliest, happiest cuddle bug you’ve ever met. His tail never stops, and he’ll lean right into you for pets and affection. This boy is athletic, fun, and always up for an adventure!
