Couch Potato Seeking CouchNetflix? Gunter Prefers Wolf DocumentariesGunter has his dream job picked out: full-time lap dog with occasional zoomie responsibilities. This absolute sweetheart is happiest snoozing on the sofa—or your bed, he’s flexible—all day, followed by approximately ten minutes of evening zoomies before returning to couch-potato mode. He’s also quite cultured: during his time in a home, Gunter enjoyed watching nature documentaries and discovered a particular appreciation for wolves. Perhaps he’s researching his ancestry. Gunter is house trained, treat motivated, eager to please, and knows “sit,” “come,” “shake,” and “leave it.” He’s a smart cookie who picks up training cues quickly, though he’d benefit from continued leash work. Gunter appreciates people who understand and respect his body language and will continue helping him build his skills. Once he decides you’re his person, prepare yourself—he may climb directly into your lap for extra love. Smart, snuggly, slightly nerdy, and mostly horizontal. That’s Gunter. Gunter recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. He wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as he gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, he’ll be ready to show us his silly side with other dogs. Looking for a buddy for your dog?
