Meet Gus

Gus has never been one to shy away from making a new friend! When his foster spotted him running around White Rock Lake with his sister, he didn't run away like you might expect. Instead, he came right up, ready to play! His friendly personality made such an impression that his rescuer knew he wanted to bring Gus home to foster. Since then, Gus has proven he's got both brains and charm! In just a few days, he learned to sit on command, became comfortable in his crate and started making great progress with potty training. He's also doing wonderfully on a leash and loves his morning and evening walks. Gus is especially motivated by treats and praise, making him an eager little student who loves knowing he's done a good job. Like any puppy, Gus has his playful moments! He loves romping around with his sister, playing with his favorite white stuffed ghost and exploring the world around him. But once playtime is over, he's perfectly happy to head to his kennel for a nap. He even sleeps through the night without a fuss! Gus is also great with kids and is gradually building confidence around other dogs. He can be a little shy at first, but with time, he's beginning to initiate play with new canine friends. What makes Gus especially lovable is his gentle, affectionate personality. He's a quiet little guy who rarely barks, loves attention and is happiest when he's close to his people. Whether he's learning something new, enjoying a walk or settling in for cuddles, Gus just wants to be part of the fun.
