Meet Gus

Gus is a sweet 1-year-2-month-old Pittie with a gentle soul and a serious love of cuddles! This handsome boy was recently returned through no fault of his own, and his former adopter described him as extremely gentle, loving, cuddly, and slightly potty trained. All Gus really wants is a family to love—and someone who will love him right back. Gus can be a little shy when he first meets someone, but once he warms up, he becomes wonderfully affectionate and attached to his people. He loves snuggling on the couch, playing with his squeaky toys, and hanging out with his family. He’s also been a great houseguest, settling nicely on his dog bed, sleeping well, and keeping his space clean. He’s a playful young guy and can get a little mouthy when playing with toys, but he responds well to gentle correction. Gus enjoys walks and adventures, too! Once he gets his initial excitement out, he walks well and is easy to redirect. He has enjoyed trips to the park, PetSmart, and the lake, where he had a blast playing in the water and with sticks. He’s also been friendly and gentle with children and has successfully been paired with another dog at the shelter. Gus is looking for a foster or forever home where he can relax, play, cuddle, and finally feel settled.
