Meet Habanero

Meet Habanero, the 28-pound mixed breed with a BIG personality and a DNA cocktail nobody could have predicted! Born 4/28/26, this little pepper came back as a Rottweiler mix, but his recipe includes a whopping 22.7% Yorkie, 3.5% French Bulldog, and 22.8% Supermutt with Beagle, Chihuahua, Chow Chow, and German Shepherd in the mix. Basically, somebody hit the shuffle button on the family tree, and we got Habanero! The good news? His personality is just as fun as his DNA. Habanero loves people, gets along with dogs of all ages and sizes, and is always up for outdoor adventures, backyard playtime, or a little sunshine. He's also HOUSE-TRAINED and CRATE-TRAINED, so he's already checked off two big boxes on the new-family wish list! When playtime is over, this social butterfly turns into a professional lap snuggler. He's smart, affectionate, playful, and ready to bring a whole lot of personality to his forever home. Like any puppy, he'll need a family willing to keep up with his training and help him grow into his best adult-dog self. Here's the part that gets us: Habanero is the LAST of his pepper siblings still waiting for a family. Everyone else has found their people. Now this spicy little sweetheart is waiting for his turn. Could your home be the place where Habanero finally gets to be someone's favorite pepper? His minimum adoption fee is $300, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if he is 4 months or older. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
