Meet Harley

Harley may need a little time to relax, but once she does, she’s all about the love. This sweet 4-year-old, 51-pound pittie mix can be unsure at first, but give her a little patience and her whole body starts to wiggle. Before long, she’ll ask for butt scritches and climb into your lap for snuggles. This treat-loving girl especially enjoys foraging games and her beloved snuffle mat. Harley is highly trainable when she can focus and has shown she knows “sit,” comes when called, and happily learns through positive reinforcement. Harley is picky about dog friends and would do best as the only dog in her home. She sometimes becomes very excited when she sees other dogs while on leash, pulling and vocalizing toward them. Her adopter should be comfortable helping her build confidence and leash skills with a patient, reward-based approach. Underneath those initially pinned ears and worried looks is a wiggly, affectionate girl who really wants to trust her person. If you are someone who can give Harley the time she needs to settle in, she’ll happily give you all the snuggles she has.
