Meet Harper

Harper is 100 pounds of pure joy wrapped in a sleek black Great Dane package. If you've always dreamed of owning a gentle giant, this goofy girl is ready to make your wish come true. Like any self-respecting Great Dane, Harper has perfected the famous Dane lean. Stand still for a second and she'll melt into your side before deciding your lap is the perfect place for a cuddle—never mind that she's 100 pounds! She has absolutely no concept of her size and all the confidence of a puppy who believes the world exists for fun. Harper arrived at the shelter with some rear lameness, but you'd hardly know it watching her bounce through life. Whatever is causing it doesn't slow her down or dampen her joyful spirit. She romps, plays, and greets every day with infectious enthusiasm. She especially loves spending time with other dogs. Watching Harper play is like watching a happy freight train barreling toward you at full speed—big, goofy, and impossible not to laugh at. She brings her whole heart to everything she does, whether it's chasing friends around the yard or soaking up affection from her people. Harper is looking for a family that appreciates giant breeds, has room for a little extra wiggle, and doesn't mind sharing the couch with a dog who thinks she's the size of a Chihuahua. If you're searching for a best friend who will keep you smiling, make you laugh daily, and love you with her whole enormous heart, Harper is waiting to lean into your life. This big beauty has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!
