Meet Heidi

Currently located at our Evansville, IN location Meet Heidi! Heidi is a beautiful 3-year-old German Shepherd weighing 67 pounds, and she is one sweet, energetic girl! She loves being around her people and would be happiest with a family who wants a loyal companion to share life’s adventures with. Heidi does well with other like-sized dogs and absolutely LOVES to play with her big-dog friends. Her foster says she takes every opportunity she can get to join the fun! She is mostly housebroken, with only the occasional accident. Sometimes when she’s sent outside, she gets a little too distracted playing with her dog friends to remember why she went outside in the first place! Heidi is kennel trained, although she would much rather be out with her people. She keeps her kennel clean and has even done wonderfully with free-roaming in the house while her foster is away. On one particularly long 11-hour day, Heidi had zero accidents! And when bedtime rolls around? Heidi knows exactly where she belongs. She loves sleeping with her people and hops right into bed when it’s time to settle down. She may try to sneak in a little playtime first, but she quickly settles in for the night. Most of all, Heidi LOVES her people. She wants to be close to you and may greet you with some dramatic whining and crying when you come home—as if you've been gone forever!
