INDY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Indy and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (9/6) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Indy Best Guess for Breed: Corgi mix Best Guess for Age: 5 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 26 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Indy was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. Before foster case, she had not been well socialized with new people and had lived her whole life with other dogs. Despite this, Indy's foster has said she is a very social and friendly dog! She is still getting used to loud noises, but her confidence has been steadily growing. Indy is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where she is a cherished part of a family. She's very sweet, and loves nothing more than a good snuggle. Loving humans who introduce her to new places and people are exactly what she wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that?
