Meet Izzie

Small, spunky, and ready to steal your heart... Izzie is the perfect mix of playful and sweet! Meet Izzie! This adorable 8-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix came all the way from Georgia after her owner made the difficult decision to surrender her due to becoming paralyzed and no longer being able to care for her. Izzie may be small, but she has a big personality and an even bigger heart. She loves to play, roughhouse, and have fun, especially when a tennis ball is involved! Toss her a ball, and she'll happily bring it right back, ready for another round of fetch. When playtime is over, Izzie is all about being close to her people. If you're sitting on the floor or at eye level with her, she'll be sure to plant herself right in front of you and may even nuzzle her way under your chin just to be as close as possible. Her affectionate nature makes her an excellent companion for someone looking for a best friend who loves both playtime and cuddle time. Izzie has done well around other dogs and has seen cats, though a proper introduction is always recommended to ensure everyone gets along. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate pup who will keep you smiling and shower you with love, Izzie might just be the perfect addition to your family! ❤️Izzie's adoption fee is $250, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
