Every great adventure is better with a best friend, and Jake is looking for his! Jake is a 10-month-old Shepherd mix weighing 29 pounds. He’s sweet, snuggly, and always ready to be your trusty companion. He can be a little timid with new people at first, but once he’s comfortable, his affectionate personality shines. Whether you’re heading out on an adventure or relaxing at home, Jake is happiest by your side. Jake gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and ages and is making great progress with house and crate training. He’s still a puppy, so an experienced owner who can continue his socialization and help him master basic training and leash manners would be a great fit. Jake isn’t afraid to use his voice, especially during playtime or when he’d like some attention, so he’ll do best in a home without shared walls. The fun will never end when Jake is your best friend! His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
