Meet Jenga #1

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Jenga #1 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Jenga #1 | 3-year old, Pug/Chi mix | Your little cuddle shadow Jenga is a sweet, affectionate 12-pound girl who just needs a little time to warm up. After arriving at Denver Animal Shelter as a surrender and spending a couple of weeks decompressing, she has really started to come out of her shell. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly loving and wants to be your constant shadow. Jenga loves snuggles, belly rubs, being under the covers, and resting her head on you. She is playful, enjoys toys and Nylabones, and is very motivated by treats. She gets along well with small and same-size dogs and enjoys trying to play with her foster siblings. She has also done well with a cat, mostly ignoring her but occasionally trying to play. Jenga is still working on house training and learning her basic cues. She can pull a little on leash but otherwise walks well and enjoys sniffing and exploring. She has a medium energy level and is happy with some casual activity before settling in for couch time. She can be shy at first, but once comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality really shines. Jenga would love a home with plenty of love, patience, and snuggle time. A friendly canine companion would be a big plus, especially if her humans are gone for much of the day. Give this little girl some time to settle in, and you'll have a loving, devoted companion by your side. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
