Meet Jenny Lynn

LOCATION: CHARLESTON, AR ADOPTABLE ANYWHERE IN THE USA Meet Jenny Lynn, a 2 year old, 50 pound Treeing Walker Hound with a Hallmark movie name and a personality to match. She started out living behind a motel for about 3 months, skinny and on her own, until a shelter finally had room to take her in. Since February she has been working on being the best dog in the building, and she has pulled it off. Jenny loves everyone. Kids of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, are her people. She has never met a stranger. She is not a guard dog and has no plans to apply for the job. Other dogs, male or female, are her favorite thing, and she would love a fun companion dog to pal around with. She loves to run and play, and settles down nicely after. She does have the classic hound bay now and then, but she knows when it’s time to be quiet. She is excellent on a leash, smart, attentive, and responds well to guidance. A volunteer trainer works with her weekly on leash skills, sit, and stay. Her one “flaw” is a talent for climbing a 4 ft chain link fence. She does not go over the 6 ft fences at her shelter, so a taller fence will keep her honest. Jenny currently spends about 22 hours a day in a kennel, which is not the life this social butterfly was built for.
