Born April 23, 2025, she is still a young dog with so much potential—she simply needs the right person willing to give her the patience, guidance, and experiences she hasn't yet had. Because Jingle has grown up in a sanctuary rather than a traditional home, many parts of everyday family life may be new to her. She may need continued socialization and time to become comfortable with new people, places, sounds, routines, and experiences. Jingle is not a good match for a home with children. She needs an experienced adult owner who understands that building confidence takes time and won't expect her to adjust to everything overnight. Catahoula Leopard Dogs are often intelligent, athletic, alert, independent, and deeply loyal. They can thrive with people who provide structure, mental stimulation, appropriate exercise, and consistent positive training. Jingle doesn't need someone to rush her. She needs someone who will help her discover the world at a pace that allows her to feel safe and successful. Training, Socialization & What to Expect For Jingle, patience and positive socialization will be especially important. Her new owner should be prepared to introduce unfamiliar experiences gradually rather than overwhelming her with too much too quickly. A predictable routine and positive-reinforcement training can help her develop confidence and learn what life in a home is all about. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best. Jingle may need continued work with household routines, leash skills, basic commands, recall, appropriate greetings, handling, new environments, and everyday household experiences. Because she needs additional socialization, her adopter should focus on quality rather than quantity. Calm, successful experiences are far more valuable than forcing her into busy or uncomfortable situations. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to begin understanding her new routine 3 Months to build trust, confidence, and feel more at home For a dog like Jingle, adjustment may take longer—and that's perfectly okay. The goal isn't to meet a deadline. It's to give her the time she needs to succeed. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Jingle is healthy, fully vaccinated, and spayed. Her future owner should continue providing routine wellness examinations, recommended vaccine boosters, flea and parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, grooming, nail care, appropriate exercise, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary. Mental enrichment will be important as well. Training games, sniffing activities, food puzzles, structured walks, and other confidence-building activities can give Jingle productive ways to use both her mind and body. Adoption Information Jingle is looking for a patient, loving, experienced adult home without children. Her adopter should understand that she may need additional socialization and time to transition from sanctuary life into life as a companion dog.
