Meet Jolene Googley Bear

Georgetown Texas Meet Jolene Googly Bear! This beautiful girl has a name as unique as she is! ❤️Jolene is a 1-year-old, 125-pound double-merle Great Dane with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Jolene is deaf and was born with an eye defect that required surgery to remove one of her eyes. She's completely healed, sees well out of her remaining eye, and doesn't let any of that slow her down! She's sweet, goofy, affectionate, and FULL of puppy energy! Jolene loves absolutely everyone she meets! She's also a big cuddle bug who loves nothing more than snuggling up with her people and climbing into their laps. Apparently, nobody has told her that 125 pounds is a little big to be a lap dog! ❤️She loves playing fetch, chasing tennis balls, going for walks, and being part of the family. She's also quite the clever girl and has figured out how to open doors with lever-style handles all by herself! A little more about Jolene: Deaf, but sees well with her remaining eye Walks well on a leash with a Gentle Leader Fully house-trained with no accidents in over a month! Still working on crate training and basic manners Has done well around cats Loves other dogs but can play a little rough Loves toys, especially tennis balls and soccer balls Loves everyone and thinks she's a lap dog! She's a counter surfer, so keep those snacks out of reach! Her spay is being scheduled, so she will be spayed very soon! Jolene is still learning that she's a 125-pound Great Dane and not a tiny puppy! She currently lives with smaller dogs, including a Chihuahua who would probably tell you that Jolene doesn't understand when playtime is over! Jolene wants to play, but her little friend doesn't always share that enthusiasm. And when Jolene gets excited, she can accidentally mow the smaller dogs down! She's not aggressive, just a big, rambunctious puppy who doesn't always realize her own size and strength. We believe Jolene would thrive in a home with another younger, large-breed dog closer to her own size who can match her energy and enjoy playing with her. Because she plays rough, we recommend a home with dogs more her size rather than smaller dogs who could accidentally get hurt. Her current canine siblings are seniors, and they simply can't keep up with this energetic girl! Her ideal family will have experience with giant breeds, understand the needs of a deaf dog, and be willing to continue her training. Because of her size and enthusiasm, a home without elderly or physically vulnerable family members would be best. Jolene's current family loves her dearly and has worked hard to give her a wonderful life. Unfortunately, with senior dogs and elderly family members in the home, her energy has become more than their household can safely manage. They want nothing more than to see her happy and thriving in a home where she can be the playful, goofy girl she was meant to be. Jolene doesn't need anyone to feel sorry for her because she's deaf or has one eye. She just needs someone who sees the wonderful dog she is and is ready to love all 125 pounds of her! ❤️Could Jolene Googly Bear be your new best friend?===============================================================================To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .Note: SRGDRR adopts nationwide and offers transport options to help you find your perfect match!
