Meet Karlita

Karlita – Gentle, Loyal, and Thoughtful Karlita is a 2-year-old German Shepherd Dog mix weighing 65 pounds. She is a gentle, people-oriented girl who is slowly settling in and showing her sweet personality. Loyal and affectionate: Karlita likes to stay close to her person, often following them around and gently leaning in for pets. Thoughtful leash manners: She walks nicely on leash with very mild pulling, though she may occasionally hesitate as she takes in her surroundings. Discovering her playful side: Karlita sometimes softly whines and scans her surroundings, possibly missing her previous home. She is beginning to show interest in toys, pouncing on them playfully, as she becomes more comfortable, Easygoing and redirectable: Karlita takes treats gently through she isn’t particularly interested in them. She sometimes barks at dogs nearby but can be easily redirected with a squeaky toy. Karlita would thrive with patient adopters who can give her time to decompress. She would do best as a solo dog in the home with the occasional doggie friends.
