Meet Kiara

Kiara is a fun-loving, playful puppy with a wonderful mix of curiosity, affection, and personality! She’s friendly with everyone she meets and is always interested in making new two- and four-legged friends. She has been around dogs of all sizes and ages as well as another puppy, and she’s happy to play with just about anyone who’s willing to join her. Kiara has a medium energy level and does a great job balancing playtime with downtime. Sometimes she’s perfectly content to settle into her crate with a good chew toy, while other times she wants to be right in the middle of everything you’re doing. She’s an attentive little shadow who will happily follow her person from room to room just to stay close. She’s making great progress with potty training and is doing well with a consistent routine of going outside about every hour. She hasn’t quite figured out how to let her people know when she needs to go yet, but she’s clearly learning and making progress. Kiara is affectionate, curious, social, and eager to interact with the world around her. With her adaptable personality and love for both people and other dogs, she has all the makings of a wonderful companion and is ready to find the family she can follow everywhere! They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
