Meet Kit
Our sweet Kit (AKA Kitsu) is a 16 lb, 5 year old Shiba Inu who spent the first part of his life with a commercial breeder, so the world is still full of new experiences for him. Because of his past, he will need a patient, understanding family that will let him learn at his own pace. Because Kit is an excellent copy cat, it is important for him to find a home with a confident and kind resident dog(s). Trust doesn't happen overnight, but every small step he takes is a huge victory, and what better way to keep learning than from another furry pal! Kit is a gentle soul with the cutest fox-like face and a heart that's ready to discover what it means to be loved. He may be shy at first, but with kindness, consistency, and lots of encouragement, he will continue to blossom into the dog he was always meant to be. Kit is already crate trained and potty trained. Lately, he's been working on free roaming the home while his foster family is away and has been doing great! We can tell Kit is a smart boy who is ready to continue enjoying this newfound freedom. Speaking of freedom, true to Shiba nature, Kit is considered a high risk flight risk and will require a fully fenced yard. He's currently been working on enjoying more freedom and learning how to go on leashed walks around the neighborhood. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly rewarding experience and gain a BFF, apply for Kit! He is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption! His adoption donation fee is $350.
