Meet Layla

Animal Information: Layla (and her sibling Leela) are an adorable pair of "short stacks" who were found as strays and rescued from the municipal SBC shelter after being at risk due to their length of stay. Now they're ready to find the loving home they deserve! They are estimated to be about a year old. Foster Profile: Layla is a gentle, affectionate young pup who has been gaining confidence every day in her foster home. She loves meeting new people. Her friendly, easygoing nature makes her a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. Layla does great with other dogs and enjoys playing with her foster brother, even when the play gets rowdy. She would be happy living with another friendly dog, but she’s also becoming confident enough to thrive as an only dog. She is crate trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and settles well during the day. Layla is doing well with house-training on a consistent schedule. She’s curious and still learning what’s okay to explore, but she responds well to redirection. Layla is still working on leash manners but is getting better each day. Car rides aren’t her favorite, but she settles when crated with a stuffed chew or Kong. Layla is a total snuggle bug who loves being close to her people. She’s looking for a family who will continue helping her grow, build confidence, and enjoy all the love she has to give. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
