I’m Lazlo! I’m a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix, about 16 pounds, and I’ve been waiting at the rescue for a little over two years for my special person. I’m a very sweet boy, but I’m also pretty shy and still working on coming out of my shell. I take a little time to warm up to new people, but with patience and love, I promise I’m worth it. I love being outside and running around with the other dogs here — it really brings out my happy side! I’d do best in a quiet home with a fenced yard where I can feel safe and take things at my own pace. If you have a calm home and a big heart, I’d love the chance to be your loyal companion. With patience, space, and gentle reassurance, he begins to relax and build trust at his own pace. He really enjoys being outside and comes alive when he’s running around with the other dogs at the rescue. Having canine companions helps him feel more comfortable, and he often takes cues from them as he continues to grow. Lazlo would do best in a calm, quiet home — ideally with a fenced yard where he can explore and feel secure. A peaceful environment without too much hustle and bustle will allow him to settle in and show more of his sweet personality over time. Lazlo is looking for someone who understands shy dogs and is willing to go slow. With patience and kindness, he will form a deep bond and become a loyal, loving companion.
