Meet Lefty

Lefty was surrendered to us on 9/29/2026, and we've taken many dogs related to him over the past year, and, like him, they have all been really nice. Lefty is a young dog who is only around 9 months old and mixed with lab (grandpa was a purebred yellow lab), pit bull, and maybe American bulldog, since his mother was said to have looked like one. Lefty's "blue fawn" coloring is really eye-catching! He will be vet checked and neutered on Oct. 8th and his fee is $150. Lefty has had some basic training and is open for more. He is a bit on the shy side at first but warms up quickly to become very loving. He enjoys being with people and, as far as we know, has done well with other dogs, cats, and kids. He's a big, stocky boy who most likely has a little growing left to do. He is strong but is pretty gentle and will need some regular exercise. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
