Meet Leo — a sweet, talkative Husky looking for his person! Leo is a beautiful white Husky with striking blue eyes, a sweet personality, and plenty to say! True to his Husky roots, Leo is a talker. He loves to “chat,” tell you what he thinks, and make sure he’s included in whatever is going on. Leo is sweet, playful, curious, and enjoys being around people. He also enjoys the company of other dogs. Leo is good on a leash and loves getting out and exploring. He also loves water, so if your idea of fun includes outdoor adventures, splashing around, hiking, or exploring new places, Leo would be happy to join you! Leo is also crate trained, pee-pad trained, and doing well with outdoor potty training. Once he is shown and directed to his designated outdoor potty spot, he understands where he is supposed to go. He’ll benefit from a consistent routine as he adjusts to his new home. Leo’s Ideal Home: Leo needs a person or family who is experienced with Huskies and understands their unique personalities and needs. He is an intelligent, active dog who needs plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, consistency, and continued training. He would thrive with someone who enjoys an outdoor active lifestyle and wants a dog to be part of their adventures. He isn’t looking for a couch-only lifestyle — Leo needs someone who genuinely enjoys having an active dog and is committed to giving him the exercise and enrichment he needs to be happy. In return, you’ll get a funny, beautiful, affectionate companion with that unmistakable Husky personality. He’ll make you laugh, keep you moving, and probably have an entire conversation with you along the way. Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption: Thorough veterinary examination. All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Heartworm Test Fecal Test, Deworming Microchip Flea and Tick Prevention Heartworm Prevention. Spay/Neuter All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward. HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
