Meet Lita

LITA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Lita Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Beagle Best Guess for Age: 10 months as of Sept. 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 25lbs as of 9/14 Gets Along With: Other Dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Check out this cute video of Lita! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Because of this, Lita MUST go to a home with a resident dog to help show her the ropes. Lita is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! Extra patient and loving humans who introduce her to new places and people at her pace are exactly what she wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. This sweetheart dreams every night about running around with her humans, sniffing all the interesting things on walks together, and then going to a comfy home where she is a cherished part of a family. What do you say? Is she the one for you? What My Foster Says About Me: Lita is still working on gaining confidence, but she’s a very very sweet girl who loves to lay on the couch, roll around weird textures, and thrash around her favorite toys. She’s a cuddle bug in the making and very good in the kennel. She’s barely made a peep since she arrived and goes in without trouble! Lita has also been really good with potty training. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
