Meet Loki

I am a sensitive, sweet boy. The shelter environment was too overstimulating and made me fearful. A wonderful Foster Care Volunteer welcomed me into their home and that helped me warm up and come out of my shell. My foster mom says I am a delight to have in the home. I’m quiet, attuned to my people, and eager to please. She understands that new situations make me anxious, but we are both very proud of my adaptability. I settle right in when I know I’m safe and will play with my stuffies, snuggle right up next to you, fetch a ball, and do hoppity hops for mealtime. I like my name because I am “low key” and good natured. I quickly made friends with the foster’s medium-sized puppy. The puppy pulls on my legs and ears, but I know she’s young and smaller than me and I gently play back. When I’m not playing tug or keep away with the puppy, I love walks, snuggling, cooling off in my wading pool and napping. I enjoy the outdoors and have been exploring everywhere I can. I know I will be a little shy when I first meet you and it will take some time for me to settle into my forever home. But it won’t be long, and I’ll be the best friend you hoped for.
