Meet Lonzo

While Lonzo's ears can't decide how to position themselves, don’t let them fool you. Lonzo is very decisive- and he's decided he's ready for his forever family. At only 2 years old, Lonzo has been through a lot of changes in his life. Originally found as a stray, he landed himself at the city animal control before making his way to us. He then spent some time in prison (his crime was being too cute), where he competed the Puppies 4 Parole program, which helped him gain confidence and learn lots of cool tricks. Now settled into his foster home, we've learned what a wonderful dog Lonzo is. He lives with a variety of dogs, who he is fantastic with. His foster mom is able to bring in any new dog into the home and knows that Lonzo will welcome them with open arms. Lonzo does well with kids, but would be best suited for older children/teens. Lonzo is housetrained, crate trained and is an easy going guy. In Lonzo's dream home, he would have a yard with a 5-6 foot fence in a quiet neighborhood- Lonzo's biggest pet peeve is people mowing the lawn (we all have our quirks!) We think he'd like to have a dog friend or two, but he would be fine without as well. If he's allowed to sleep in bed, that's even better, as Lonzo loves to cuddle with his people. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Lonzo’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
