Meet Lucky

Lucky is a young Boxer mix with a big heart, an adventurous spirit, and a playful personality that is sure to make you smile. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for him to decide you're a friend, especially if you happen to have a few treats in your pocket. Once he trusts you, his affectionate and goofy side quickly shines through. Lucky loves to play and would happily spend hours chasing a ball if you're up for it. When playtime is over, he's just as content entertaining himself with his favorite toys or settling down with a bone. During the day, he rests quietly in his crate, patiently waiting for his favorite part of the day: spending time with his people. This sweet young dog is doing well with housetraining and will run to the door when he needs to go outside. He already knows how to sit for a treat, although his excitement sometimes gets the best of him when rewards are involved. He's also learning leash manners and is making great progress every day. Lucky gets along wonderfully with other animals. He has done well with older children in the neighborhood and has met younger children successfully while on leash. His friendly, playful nature makes him a joy to be around for both people and pets. Because he's still young and energetic, Lucky would thrive with an active family that can include him in their adventures and continue building his confidence. A home with a fenced yard would be a bonus, but most importantly, he's looking for people who will love him, play with him, and make him part of the family.
