Meet Lucy

#A5800486 Meet Lucy , a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd girl with classic Shep good looks - a warm dulce de leche coat dusted with deep black-brown along her back and snoot, plus those gorgeous perky ears! She has all the makings of a perfect family dog, especially for a home where she can be the queen of the household, because Lucy loves her people far more than she loves other dogs. She follows close by her favorite humans, always looking for affection and attention, though she does well with calm canine companions too. This mellow, sweet girl was sadly surrendered because her former owner didn’t have “enough” time, but Lucy doesn’t ask for much - just some regular loving and a soft, safe place to lay her head. She was likely living outside 24/7 and has some flystrike damage to her ears, yet through it all she remains gentle and loving. Lucy is ready to trade her hard past for a cozy forever home where she can finally be the cherished queen she was always meant to be! Will that be with you? -4 year old tan and black German Shepherd -75 pound spayed female -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 9/11/26 as an owner surrender - the said they had “no time” for sweet Lucy, but she doesn’t ask for very much at all! We’re hoping someone will give her all the time she deserves -soft and sweet despite all she’s been through -love love loves her people, but could also do well with other calm and mellow dogs -loyal, loving prime example of her breed - perfect for Shep enthusiasts! - came in with canine companion Hank (A5800487) LUCY’S VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ct8GHapnmqU For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.
