Meet Lulu

05/18/26 16:35Looking for some big fun in your life? Meet Lulu! Lulu is a gentle giant, weighing about 78 pounds, that came to the shelter in early April. She does great around other dogs and has shown no signs of reactivity towards other dogs. In fact, Lulu is actually in our play groups! She has a play style that is somewhere between gentle dainty and push-pull. She has been super friendly with staff and volunteers and has had no issues with handling or petting. Lulu knows sit and paws, and is always ready to show off for a treat. Lulu is a great walker and does not pull all the much despite her size. She can be reluctant to return to her kennel when the walk is over, but who can blame her? This sweet girl is just looking for a life outside of the kennel with someone who is ready to love her. Will that person be you?09/06/26 14:58What I did today: I hopped in the car like a seasoned pro, claimed my spot at the window, and spent the whole ride with my nose in the breeze taking in all the sights and smells. I love people and out on the trail I wanted to introduce myself to everyone we passed. I showed off my `sit` and `paw` for some well-deserved treats, stood nicely for a brush, and only had a few strong opinions about squirrels (and cyclists, who frankly have some nerve going that fast).What to know about this dog:• Generally good leash manners — can pull strongly when squirrels are involved• Passes other dogs politely but reactive to cyclists — best to give bikes a wide berth on walks• Smart and food-motivated — knows `sit` and `paw` and tolerates brushing without fuss• A social butterfly who loves peopleThree words to describe me: Sweet, Cheerful, Intelligent
