Meet Lulu & Winnie — Survivor Sisters Looking for Their Happily Ever After These two sweet girls have already been through more than any puppy should. Lulu and Winnie — female siblings, about 6-9 months old, white with black and brown markings — were abandoned on a remote dirt road in Park County, Colorado. For 3-5 days, they walked mile after mile in the summer heat with no food, water, or shelter. Winnie's back paws became severely worn down and she could no longer walk — but Lulu never left her side, staying close and protecting her the whole way. They were finally rescued on July 25, 2026, and have been recovering ever since. The good news: Winnie's paws are healing well, and by the time you're reading this, she should be back on all four feet and ready to play just like her sister. Both girls have been bathed, vet-checked, started on some training, and are healthy, happy, and clearly grateful for their second chance. We are scheduling their next dr dates for their spays. Lulu is playful and outgoing, and we expect Winnie to be right there with her once fully healed. Both are great with kids and other dogs, and they are incredibly bonded — after surviving that ordeal together, it's no surprise they'd love to stay together. Their foster would love to see Lulu and Winnie adopted as a pair, though they can be considered separately if needed.
