Meet Luna

Meet Luna! A spirited almost five-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix currently in Temple, PA, whose essence is a joyful blend of goofy affection, outdoor enthusiasm, and snuggly sweetness wrapped in a beautiful tan coat with white accents. At 65 pounds, this lovable girl has plenty of presence, but what really stands out is her gentle heart and her enthusiasm for being close to her favorite people! Luna is happiest when life includes fresh air, exercise, and plenty of affection. Walks, hikes, fetch, Kong toys, swimming, and outdoor play are all high on her list of favorite things! After the adventure is over, she is more than ready to settle in for some serious snuggle time. She is friendly with new people, wonderfully gentle with children of all ages, and comfortable sharing her space with cats. This clever girl has received formal obedience training and knows sit, heel, lay, stop, come, and free! She is house-trained, leash trained, and off-leash trained with reliable recall. Luna can also spend short periods alone without anxiety and enjoys car rides. Her daily routine includes three meals and consistent exercise to keep her feeling happy and fulfilled. Luna is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She has no major health concerns, although she experiences seasonal summer allergies that can cause sneezing and red eyes. Because of past stressful experiences with dogs, Luna can be cautious around unfamiliar canine companions, particularly reactive or loose dogs. She has no bite history with people and is not reactive to dogs while walking on leash. A home without another unfamiliar dog would be suitable, although carefully managed introductions can help determine compatibility. There is one very special exception: Luna adores Freya, the dog she currently lives with and her best canine friend! If possible, Luna would love to be adopted with Freya so these two buddies can continue their adventures together. An active family with a fenced yard or a strong commitment to daily exercise could be a wonderful match for Luna.
