Meet Madison

Meet Madison, the gorgeous boxer mix who wandered into her finder’s yard, staying with them overnight - until officers could arrive the next day. While she was with her finder, she got a bath AND they gave her some flea prevention, as this sweet girl was riddled with them! They let us know that this friendly girl was a perfect houseguest! She had a collar, but no ID tag and no chip, and no family to claim her while she was here on her stray hold with us. Since she has been with us, she met a similar sized spayed female friend! Madison tried to paw at her new friend’s face to let her know she was ready for play, but her new friend was not feeling it, correcting her right away. Although a little intimidated at that point, Madison received the correction well from her friend – and she never let that steal her bounce and shine, moving onto the next moment of happy affection from the humans. She knows sit and is always eager to get out of her kennel and spend some time getting loved on! Please come and meet sweet Madison in person here at the shelter to see if she is meant to spend forever with your family! We are a first come, first served and in person adoption center. We always recommend meet and greets with and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all, also! We don't know how she does with cats and have no way to test for that. All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. If you can’t promise forever, please consider waiting until you can, before you adopt- making sure no housing or other barriers stand in your way, before you commit! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet. 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustMadison’s adoption fee is $20 now through end of day, September 12, 2026!
