Meet Maggie

Maggie is a tiny 6‑year‑old Yorkie who spent her life as a breeder dog and is finally getting her chance to be someone’s beloved companion. At only 5 pounds, she’s a delicate little girl with a gentle heart and a quiet presence. In her foster home, Maggie is slowly learning what comfort feels like. She likes to tuck herself into her small bed and watch the world from a safe corner. She enjoys the company of other small dogs and would be happy with a calm friend, though she doesn’t require one as long as she receives affection and reassurance. She recently discovered cow hooves and absolutely loves them — a sweet reminder that she’s experiencing “firsts” at this stage of her life. Maggie is crate trained but not leash trained, so a fully fenced yard is ideal. She is working on housetraining and will go outside when taken, but she quickly returns indoors to her bed. She also uses potty pads. Maggie rides well in the car and has been professionally groomed; she’ll need regular grooming to keep her tidy. A quiet, peaceful home without young children will help Maggie continue to grow and feel safe. She deserves a gentle environment full of patience, kindness, and soft places to land. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated, heartworm negative, and has had bloodwork and a mini dental. Her adoption fee is $475.
