MALIBU NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Malibu and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (9/6) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Mailbu Best Guess for Breed: Corgi mix Best Guess for Age: 4 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 26 lbs Gets Along With: Malibu does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster Special adoption considerations: Malibu was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs. New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of her shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because she is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. Malibu is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where she is a cherished part of a family. She's very sweet, and SO ready to be a Real Dog. Extra patient and loving humans who introduce her to new places and people at her pace are exactly what she wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. She craves attention and never tires of being petted and snuggled. Malibu's a perfect dog to cuddle because her fur is so soft. Malibu's doing very well on house training. Leash walking is new to her but she's smart and figuring it out. She gets along fine with our dog and is great with kids. We've had 8, 5, and 3 year olds loving on her and she just soaks it all in. The more the merrier for little Malibu. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
