Meet Margarine

Margarine / Margie (formerly Freckles) was saved from a rural shelter, where she ended up after being found as a stray and having a litter of puppies that were given away on the side of the road. Margie is gentle in everything she does (her soft personality reminded her fosters of butter) - greeting new people with a slow wagging tail. She is still acclimating to life out of the shelter and we expect her personality to continue to grow over the coming days and weeks, but so far, she is a very calm and sweet companion that gets along with other dogs, cats, is crate and leash trained, and has had no accidents. She loves to nap next to her people and follow them around the house. She doesn't jump in a car on her own yet but she rides very calmly and naps once she is in a car (and she's been on some very long car rides!). She has also met and engaged with kids (younger and older) and uses the same gentle demeanor with them Please check back in for more details as we continue to learn more about this sweet girl! Margie is being fostered in Houston, TX
