Meet Max

This handsome guy came to the shelter as a stray and has been living his best life in a foster home while getting healthy and ready for his next adventure. Now that Max has officially been cleared for adoption, he's ready to find a family to call his own! Thanks to his wonderful foster family, we've learned quite a bit about Max! First and foremost, Max LOVES his people! This affectionate guy is a total cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to be close to his favorite humans. He has also done well living with a female dog around his size. His history with cats is unknown, but based on his interactions with people, we think he could do well in a home with respectful children. One important thing to know about Max is that he does experience separation anxiety, which his foster family has been helping him work through. Max struggles when left completely alone, so he is looking for a home with another socially appropriate dog who can provide companionship. His future family should also be prepared to continue helping him build confidence and independence through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Because Max can become distressed when left alone, a house rather than an apartment or other shared wall living situation would be the best fit for him. Max has so much love to give and is looking for a family that can give him the companionship, stability, and support he needs to thrive. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who loves a good cuddle, Max might just be the missing puzzle piece in your life! Think Max could be your perfect match?
