Meet Max

Meet Max, a 4-year-old Husky mix who seems to have missed the memo about thewhole `wild and crazy Husky` stereotype. This handsome boy is wonderfullycalm, friendly, and easygoing, and he`d love nothing more than to find afamily of his own. Max seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and has played nicely withanother Husky at the shelter. He does enjoy a good run, but he`s alsoperfectly happy hanging out with his people. He`s affectionate, stays closefor pets, and leans in like he`s making sure you don`t accidentally forgetto give him attention. He takes treats gently and walks well on leash, withonly the occasional light pull. Max does have one Husky superpower: escape artistry. He was surrenderedbecause he had a talent for getting out, so his new home will need a secureyard, or he should be an indoor dog with supervised outdoor time. Hisprevious owner reported that he was housebroken, loved riding in the car,and was not destructive. They also reported that he was friendly with adults, but not good with cats. A meet and greet with resident dogs is recommended to make sure everyone isa good match. If you`re looking for a loyal, affectionate, relaxed companionwho enjoys a good run but is equally happy sticking close to his favoritehumans, Max could be your guy. He`s ready to retire from his escape-artistcareer and settle into the much more rewarding job of professional familydog.
