Meet Meadow #2

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Meadow finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). Meadow | 3-year-old Lab mix | Your sweet, snuggly zoomie girl Meadow is a 3-year-old, 45-pound Lab mix who is a wonderful combination of sweet, easygoing, playful, and affectionate. She loves going for walks, playing fetch, chewing on her favorite toys, and then settling in for some couch time and snuggles. She has an adorable habit of resting her head on you and loves running zoomies around the yard. Meadow is house trained and will stand by the door when she needs to go outside. She does well when left loose in the house for 3–4 hours and sleeps through the night in her kennel. She is generally calm when mentally stimulated but enjoys getting some extra exercise after spending time in her crate. She responds well to structure and boundaries and is motivated by food, toys, and affection. Meadow has not yet had much close interaction with other dogs, although she calmly passed one on a walk without reacting. She has a high prey drive and would likely do best without cats. She has done well with children but can get excited and jump when they are loud. She has no preference between men and women and is happy to make friends with everyone. Meadow's owner passed away, and she is now looking for a new family to love. She reportedly has a sensitive stomach and some skin rashes and has been eating food formulated for those sensitivities. Her ideal home would be with someone who enjoys walks and playtime but is equally happy to snuggle on the couch afterward. As with any dog settling into a new home, accidents can happen while she adjusts to her new environment. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.
