Great Pyrenees Lovers- Meet Meadow! Showing up with a canine friend, who ran off before her finder could help them out too, this sweet girl remained with her finder until our Animal Control Officer could arrive to assist. With no chip and no ID tag, there was no way to contact a family and now Meadow is ready for a new start! Since her arrival to us, she has proven that she is a pro on a leash, walking like a true dream with little to no pulling at all! And for her size, that is a PLUS for her humans! She met a slightly smaller spayed female and at first, she was apprehensive to interact with her, avoiding eye contact, with lip licking and yawning. At one point, her friend was in her face sniffing her and Meadow got a little stiff, let out a little growl to let her new friend know she wasn’t a fan and then redirected. They both then went their separate ways with no issue at all. Meadow may do better as an only dog or in a home with respectful dogs to her space, fair enough! We all have specific preferences! Her potential family will be required to bring any dogs in the home for a meet and greet, prior to adoption. Please come and meet this gorgeous girl in person here at the shelter to see if she is meant to spend forever with your family! We are a first come, first served and in person adoption center. We always recommend meet and greets with children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all, also! We don't know how she does with cats and have no way to test for that. All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. If you can’t promise forever, please consider waiting until you can, before you adopt- making sure no housing or other barriers stand in your way, when you commit! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet. 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustMeadow’s adoption fee is $20 now through end of day, September 12, 2026!
