Meet Mercedes

Mercedes – English Black Female, approximately 6 years old, 85 lbs. Mercedes is one of our 11 hoarding dogs, and her journey to this point has been a long one. Thanks to everyone who donated, shared her story, prayed for her, and supported her recovery, Mercedes has received the medical care she needed, had time to heal, and learned what it feels like to be a loved and cherished member of a family. Now, she is ready for her forever home. Mercedes is an incredibly sweet girl who is looking for the simple life. Nice, leisurely strolls, plenty of good food, daily naps, and a favorite person who will pet her and tell her how pretty she is—that sounds just about perfect to Mercedes! She would prefer a quiet, peaceful home rather than one that is busy, high-energy, or constantly on the go. She isn't timid; she simply knows what she likes, and what she likes is being close to her people and enjoying the good life. In fact, she is the kind of dog who makes taking pictures difficult because she'd much rather be standing right next to you getting some attention! Mercedes is dog-friendly and kid-friendly. Cats are unknown, although her foster believes she may do fine with a dog-savvy cat with proper introductions. She is completely unbothered by the rabbits, squirrels, and livestock at her foster home. Mercedes is house trained and currently has the general run of the house with no issues. It is suspected that she spent a large portion of her earlier life crated, but thankfully, she has discovered that she doesn't need to live that way anymore. What Mercedes needs now is simple: a soft place to land, a peaceful home, and kind people who will give her the love, attention, and security she deserves.
