Meet Miklo

Hello there, I am Miklo, a 2-year-old, large-sized, neutered male, Pit Bull mix who weighs about 62lbs. I'm the sweetest lap dog you'll ever meet. I love being with my doggy and people friends and I'm the life of the party! I'm a sweet, curious and rather rambunctious young fellow but I tend to forget that I’m technically a big dog. Sometimes, the world can be pretty scarry and I need someone to hold my hand. Other times, I’m super excited and jump for joy, which might be tough trying to catch a beefcake like me. No matter what, I’m full of love and excitement. I’m looking for a loving family with large dog experience, who will help me work on my manners and doggy socialization skills. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about me! Miklo ID# A0974830 I recently went on a hike with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did: I took Miklo on the hike today - he did great! He walked happily to my car and jumped right in! He sat calmly in the backseat the entire way to Coyote Point. Once there, he was excited to get the hike started. He showed friendly interest in the other dogs and wanted to play. He also enjoyed seeing his PHS staff friends and getting treats and affection. He was pretty easy to walk on the trail. He looked for reassurance frequently and was very well behaved. He didn’t pull and was not reactive to the other dogs, bikes, runners, walkers, etc. He got a little impatient during the breaks because he was excited to keep walking. He enjoyed being close to the other shelter pups. Miklo did not show interest in water but enjoyed taking in the sights on the beach. He was a perfect gentleman on the way back to the shelter - laid down on the blanket in my backseat. Super easy to return to his dorm where I gave him some treats and cuddles. Such a loveable guy!
