Meet Mochi Chip

Meet Mochi Chip, an adorable little guy with a spunky personality! Mochi had a loving home, unfortunately due to conflicting schedules he was spending too much time in his crate. His owner recognized he deserved better and now he is looking for a family that can give him the love and attention he needs. Mochi is 1.5 years old and still very "puppy" like, as he's very active and VERY energetic. He does require a little extra attention and supervision, and plenty of enriching activities to keep him occupied. He absolutely loves toys and running around, so a safe yard for his zoomies is a must! The perfect adopter will need to understand Mochi's quirks, as many dachshunds he barks at strangers, he gets into the occasional shoe if it's within reach, and he is not fully housebroken just yet; adopter will need to invest some time and energy to continue working on potty training. Mochi does great in the crate and even goes in by himself at night. He enjoys car rides and his most favorite spot is next to you on the couch while you rub behind his ears. That is when he's the most calm and happy. Other than that he will follow you at every chance he gets! Mochi seems to do well with older, gentle kids and would love someone to play with. He is sort of a ladies' man so he seems to gravitate towards women and female dogs. Male dogs not so much, especially if they are bigger than him, that makes him feel threatened for some reason but applications from families with big dogs will be considered on a case by case basis. Mochi has been recently neutered, microchipped, and has received his shots, so he is ready to meet adopters. This sweet boy has a lot of potential, all he needs is love, patience, and understanding, and we know the right family will help him become the best version of himself!
