We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Mollie is Looking For: Hiya! Me and my brother Blackie are the age of perfect puppy perfection! We are past all the crazy super young puppy stage but we're still young enough to be adaptable and filled with silly cuteness. I can't wait to take lots of walks and go on other adventures. Oh, and I'd love a chance to play with other pups as much as possible. That's really fun!! What My Foster Says About Me: Looking for the absolute perfect blend of loyalty, brains, and a compact size? Meet Mollie! This gorgeous girl is a Black Mouth Cur and Lab mix with a heart of absolute gold. While she loves running around with other dogs, Mollie is a total people-dog at heart. If given the choice between greeting a new pup or getting affection from a human, she will pick the human every single time! She is incredibly people-oriented and gets so visibly excited just to be near her family. Mollie can occasionally be a tiny bit shy or cautious when encountering brand-new environments. However, she is a remarkably quick study! With a little reassurance, she is learning to warm up to new situations incredibly fast, showing off her natural resilience and puppy curiosity. She has also had the absolute best mentor in her foster home! Her foster brother, Londyn (who is also looking for his forever home!), has been an incredible influence on her. Londyn has been patiently teaching her how to play, navigate canine social cues, and build up her confidence. She thrives on positive reinforcement, treat-based training, and having "jobs" to do—like solving puzzle toys or practicing new tricks. She is looking for an active adopter who will cherish her deep affection for people, continue exposing her gently to the world, and give her plenty of love.
