Meet Mongo

Meet Mongo! He is a male 5 month old puppy looking for a forever family. He is happy, playful, talkative, and shy but friendly. The older he has gotten the more we think he is a Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd mix. He currently weights around 35lbs, we think he will grow up to be around 70-80lbs. Mongo loves being near his people and dog friends. He isn't great with little kids but would be fine with older children. He isn't a big cuddler or lap dog but he enjoys being pet and sleeping near his pack. He will talk back to you and enjoys having a 'conversation.' He gets along well with the other dogs in his home but sometimes requires slow introductions with new dogs as he is unsure. He is still a puppy, so with more positive exposure to dogs he should grow out of his hesitation. The only cat he has met, hates dogs, so Mongo is cautious around cats and will run away if hissed at. Mongo walks well on the leash and enjoys car rides. He likes to play with toys and in water. He is potty trained. He is very smart and food motivated, so learns things quickly. Although with his sassy attitude and a typical 'Pyrenees' stubbornness, he doesn't always listen. He is crate trained but sometimes has a lengthy conversation with you about if he wants to get in. Mongo will be a great addition to a home with another playful dog that is looking for a fun companion that provides entertainment, conversation, and is down for an adventure. Mongo is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is currently in a foster home near Dallas / Ft Worth area of Texas. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging their own transport.
