Meet Nala

Nala was originally adopted from us at 9 weeks of age back in February 2025. She was part of a litter of 8 and the mother dog was a tan husky-type mix with blue eyes. She was returned to the shelter on 8/28/2026 after 18 months in her home as her family's life became busier and they realized they didn't have enough time to devote to her. Nala looks to be a mix of pit bull, husky, and shepherd. She's a fit young dog who will be 2 years old in December and is between medium and large in size. Nala has been fully vetted, microchipped, and her fee is $150. Nala is a very strong and active dog. She will require a lot of regular exercise and would make a great walking/running partner. She has had some basic training but would love more. She's a loving dog who did live with kids and has done well with other dogs. Cats are most likely a no as she does tend to chase them. She would make a great addition to an active family. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
