Meet Nutmeg

Looking to add a little sweetness and spice to your life? Meet Nutmeg, a beautiful, intelligent, and incredibly loving girl who is ready to warm someone's heart! Right now, Nutmeg can be a little shy at first, but once she gets some of her energy out, she's a wonderful walking companion! She's very smart, responsive to communication, and pays close attention to her handler—knows sit, shake, and lie down. And then there's her coat! She's unbelievably soft, the kind of dog you could happily message all day long! One of the sweetest moments was when Nutmeg gave a volunteer a BIG hug! She didn't want her to leave, and you could almost hear her saying, `Please, take me home with you!`Sadly, shelter life has been difficult for this sweet girl. Nutmeg doesn't like the constant barking and noise. She's even been seen lying in her kennel with her paws covering her ears, as though she's desperately trying to block out all the overwhelming sounds. It's heartbreaking to see such a sweet, sensitive dog struggling with the shelter environment. Nutmeg deserves a peaceful home where she can finally relax, feel safe, enjoy her walks, and shower her family with all the love she has to give. They say a little spice makes everything nice, and we think Nutmeg might just be the missing ingredient in your life!
