Meet Odin

Please contact TCAS to meet me. 559-636-4050 or tcanimalservices@tularecounty.ca.govOdin is a handsome, approximately 4-year-old gentleman who has been through quite a lot, but he is finally getting the chance to learn what it means to feel safe and loved. Odin came to Tulare County Animal Services after reportedly being left behind when his owner was deported. When he arrived, he was severely matted, frightened, and understandably unsure of the people around him. It took some patience and time to earn his trust and help him learn to walk on a leash. Thankfully, Odin has been in a foster home for a little over a month, and he has been making wonderful progress! His foster family has been helping him build confidence and learn that the world can be a safe place. He is especially comfortable around other dogs and does well with canine friends. Odin is also a little unique — he is missing one eye, which our veterinarian believes may be a birth defect. He has been beautifully groomed, is gaining some much-needed weight, and is looking more and more like the handsome boy he truly is. Odin recently experienced a seizure, so his neuter has been temporarily postponed while we take the necessary precautions and wait until it is safe for him to undergo anesthesia. We don't know exactly what breed Odin is, but Chow Chow is one breed that has been suggested. Whatever his mix may be, we know one thing for sure: Odin is a special boy who deserves a patient and loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and feel safe. He has already come such a long way. Now we're hoping his next chapter will be with a family who will give him the time, patience, and love he deserves.
