Meet Oliver

Oliver was pretty scared when he made his way to Front Street Animal Shelter. When he moved to foster care he was fairly quiet, preferring to hang out in his crate and observe. One evening he decided to sneak down the hallway from the kitchen to the living room where his foster mom and resident dog were watching TV, quickly running back after he looked into the room. It was the beginning of Oliver opening up to his foster family. It wasn’t long before he made his way down the hall one night after everyone had gone to to bed and let out a little whimper announcing his presence, the start of sleeping with his foster family. He likes to get up early and always in a playful mood. Oliver’s first walks were full of excitement and tail wags. Although extremely excited to take a walk, he has begun to show signs of being scared and announces his presence to everyone he sees. If picked up, he immediately stops barking. If prompted to go outside, he happily runs to the grass and takes care of business. He will need continued guidance potty training when not prompted to do so. He has not had any accidents inside when left alone and waits until his foster mom returns. It takes Oliver a little time to share his sweet personality when in new surroundings, very rewarding when he does!
