Meet Opal

Opal Opal is an 18-month-old white terrier/staffie mix, approx. 50 lbs, still looking for the right home. The straight story: Opal was adopted and returned twice as a young puppy back in the summer of 2025. Neither return was about anything she did wrong — she was simply more dog than those homes were set up for. High energy, big personality, a very high jumper as a puppy, and not much awareness of her own size or strength. She has thrived with proper training. She's finishing up a professional program, the jumping is done, and she's genuinely proud of her leash work — she'll show it off to anyone watching. What she needs now is structure, interaction, and activity: clear rules, someone engaged with her day to day. Opal is a social butterfly in public. She loves being the center of attention and is on her best behavior when she's out and about — friendly with people, tuned in, and settled around other dogs on walks. She's not a lap dog; she's a partner for whatever you're doing. Point a water hose at her and she's the happiest dog in Mobile County. Opal will give someone everything she has. She's waited long enough. It could be you. Our adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, vet check, deworming, spay and a microchip.
