Meet Orson

A BIG, FRIENDLY & HAPPY BUDDY: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 66 lbs. Hi, I'm Orson! I came to Mostly Mutts after finding myself in need of a new home and family to love. I'm so grateful that Mostly Mutts was able to take me in and I'm happy to be soaking up all the love from the volunteers. Now I'm in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. Could it be you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! My foster says I show interest in dogs on walks, but not in an overly reactive way. / Cats unknown. / I really like the 5- and 8-year-olds in my foster home. I can get a little barky and mouthy during playtime with toys and I'm a bigger boy so kids around this age or older could be a good fit for me, let's meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a big, handsome boy with a friendly, happy, and fun personality! I was a little unsure of the bath sprayer at first, but I had lots of tail wags during my shampoo and then leaned into my bather for the rinsing off part. I showed everyone what a sweet and gentle guy I am and I'm sure you will agree! My foster says I am a great dog, very smart and friendly, seeking attention from everyone I meet. My foster also says I make a great home office buddy! Do you need one? / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I have already mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners, although my foster says I can be a strong puller at times. I accept friendly strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and in my foster home when they leave the home for a couple of hours. At night, I sleep peacefully on a dog bed in their bedroom. / My potty manners are good in my foster home and I know to do my business right away when I go outside. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love toys (especially the squeaky kind), playing, long walks, lounging on a dog bed or the couch, going for car rides, learning new commands, cuddling and getting plenty of attention! I'm sure we'll discover lots more favorite things to enjoy doing together! / I can't think of any dislikes though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I'm a big sweet and friendly guy looking for a wonderful family to spend my life with! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
